I sigh, standing in the hallway after hanging up the phone. This is from the perspective of a fed up, patriotic stepmom of a college age Stepson that had stolen items from her to use them to commit Anarchist type rioting. My college age stepson had been unemployed & living in his birth Step-Mom’s basement, but recently came to live with me after the college shutdown. Any social distancing he should have been practicing had went completely out the window with him by the hordes of people I now discovered he was constantly around, which put me at risk and was completely unacceptable. He seemed to think that just because he initially grew up with overly permissive parenting from his birth Step-Mom, and the fact he’s now in college with his own beliefs and ideologies, he could do whatever he wants without accountability and is too old for a spanking. As long as he’s under MY roof, this could not be further from the truth. There is a limit to my understanding – I’d had enough!

Among other disciplinary techniques, corporal punishment is very effective for a myriad of infractions, even ones like these. Good Mothers do it regardless of age, because we know what’s best. I decided my stepson is now finished effective immediately with his new “job” and must instead submit to frequent inspections, including earning extra chores, and wearing babyish pajamas with an early bedtime. He will have his mouth washed out with soap for foul language and lying to me. His rectal temperature will be taken several times a day to monitor signs of a possible infection from lack of social distancing. His hands and fingernails will be frequently examined for signs of washing.

As a prepared Stepmom, I had my implements laid out for this behavioral fix & to help him atone for his infractions. After a thorough scolding, I placed him over my knee, delivering a methodical OTK spanking with my acrylic hand paddle and even more scolding in between to start.
